Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD)

Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a non-invasive procedure that uses a flexible endoscope to remove precancerous and cancerous areas in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This procedure leaves no scars on the outside of the patient's body, has a fast recovery rate, and a short hospital stay. It is generally recommended for lesions larger than 20 mm in diameter without lymph node metastasis.
