Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition of developed products into mass-production processes
  • Establish BOM and process freeze criteria
  • Run pilot production and build the mass-production approval system
  • Define production process flow; author Routing and Operation Sheets
  • Establish work standards (SOPs) and inspection criteria
  • Analyze the production impact of design changes and drive decisions
  • Run the production engineering team and build cross-department collaboration
  • Analyze root causes of recurring defects and stabilize processes

Requirements

  • 10+ years of production engineering experience
  • Understanding of mechanical mechanisms and 3D CAD proficiency
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing (mass-production transfer, process setup, validation)
  • Understanding of ISO13485/GMP environments and cross-functional coordination
  • Track record of leading a team or unit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device, robotics, or precision equipment industries
  • Experience with Project Transfer to Mass Production
  • Experience with low-volume, high-mix equipment production
  • Experience in startup manufacturing organizations

  • Production process design and line configuration
  • mBOM and Routing setup and management
  • Cycle-time estimation and bottleneck analysis
  • Pilot build and mass-production approval system setup

2) Standards & Change Management

  • Establishing and revising work standards, process, and inspection criteria
  • Impact analysis for design changes
  • Managing change timing and WIP/inventory standards

3) Jigs & Equipment

  • Defining assembly and inspection jig concepts
  • Prioritizing jig and equipment investment

4) Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Building defect-improvement systems with Quality
  • Aligning manufacturability standards with R&D
  • Coordinating material specs and changes with Procurement

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher (mechanical, electrical/electronics, industrial engineering, or related field)
  • Under 10 years of experience
  • Fast learner with a practical, flexible approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing (GMP documentation, manufacturing processes)
  • Experience in cleanroom and sterile product manufacturing environments
  • Experience with single-use medical devices or precision assembly production lines
  • Experience manufacturing endoscopic or surgical instruments

  • Cross-functional problem-solving and structural improvement with clinical, HW, SW, and manufacturing teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (mechanical engineering or related field)
  • Design experience in at least one of: motor-driven mechanisms / compact precision mechanisms / medical device mechanisms / robotic mechanisms
  • Strong, logical problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools
  • Experience transferring medical devices or precision instruments to mass production
  • Experience on robotic mechanism development projects
  • Familiarity with endoscopic or surgical instruments
